NES Data Pvt Ltd, a new-age data center company, has announced plans to launch advanced edge and containerised data centres across India, according to The Left Shift.

Slated to become operational next month, these facilities will deliver modular, scalable, and energy-efficient infrastructure, specifically designed to support AI workloads, real-time applications, and remote deployments.

The company is focusing on Tier II cities and underserved regions, aiming to provide low-latency, high-performance solutions that can be rapidly deployed to strengthen India’s digital infrastructure.

“We believe edge and containerised data centres are set to democratise data access, enabling low-latency, high-efficiency solutions for India’s AI-first digital ecosystem, particularly in Tier II and remote towns and cities,” Umesh Sahay, founder & managing director, NES Data Pvt Ltd, said.

The compact data centres will integrate computing, storage, advanced cooling systems, battery energy storage (BESS), zero-touch operations, and hybrid cloud capabilities.

According to NES Data, this infrastructure empowers enterprises to establish resilient, distributed networks and private AI zones, while also helping to lower backhaul data costs.

Sahay highlighted that demand is rising outside major metropolitan areas, driven in part by escalating real estate costs, with cities like Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Vizag, and Noida experiencing growing adoption of such solutions.

Additionally, the company is developing a new edge data centre in Pune, designed for swift deployment and modular scalability.
