PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom), through its data center infrastructure subsidiary PT Teknologi Data Infrastruktur (NeutraDC Nxera Batam), has entered a strategic partnership with PT Medco Power Indonesia (Medco Power) to integrate renewable energy into its data center operations.

Indrama YM Purba, CEO of NeutraDC Nxera Batam, emphasized that as a digital infrastructure hub, prioritizing sustainability is essential, particularly given the significant energy demands of hyperscale data centers. The collaboration aims to ensure that the growing digital ecosystem is powered responsibly and sustainably.

“We provide data center infrastructure that serves as an AI enabler, which requires significant energy to support AI-related needs. Through this collaboration, we remain committed to caring for the environment,” said Purba.

This partnership supports Medco Power’s initiative to deliver renewable energy through solar developments around the Kabil Integrated Industrial Estate (KIIE).

“Collaborating with NeutraDC Nxera is a crucial move for Medco Power to play an active role in supporting digital transformation and developing renewable energy-based power plant, particularly in Batam,” stated Director, Chief Commercial and Business Development officer at Medco Power, Femi Sastrena.
