LG Electronics has inked an agreement with global data infrastructure firm DATAVOLT to deliver advanced cooling solutions for a new AI-focused data center in Oxagon, the industrial hub of Saudi Arabia’s flagship NEOM City project.
The memorandum of understanding covers the deployment of large-scale chillers and coolant distribution units, part of LG’s broader thermal management portfolio.
LG said the deal aligns with its “One LG Solution” strategy, which pools expertise across the group’s affiliates. Future collaboration could extend to battery systems via LG Energy Solution and end-to-end data center design, construction, and operations through LG CNS, the company added.
Saudi-based DATAVOLT specializes in building hyperscale data centers fueled by renewable energy and alternative power sources. Its flagship AI facility in Oxagon is poised to rank among the region’s largest and most advanced.
Commenting on the collaboration, LG Electronics’s William Cho said, “The Middle East and Africa hold tremendous potential. The Middle East offers abundant B2G and B2B opportunities driven by government-led industrial restructuring and large-scale development projects. By leveraging our strong brand and differentiated offerings in areas such as AI home and smart solutions, we need to focus on capturing new growth across the region.”
