Verne, a leading provider of low-carbon, high-density data center solutions, has announced the appointment of Roland Chedlivili as Managing Director, France.

The appointment marks an important step in Verne’s ongoing European growth strategy, supported by Ardian’s continued investment in the company. In his new role, Chedlivili will lead Verne’s strategic exploration of the French market, assessing opportunities to extend the company’s low-carbon infrastructure model to support France’s ambitions in artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and digital transformation.

Chedlivili brings over 20 years of leadership experience across digital infrastructure, connectivity, and strategy. Most recently, he served as co-Managing Director of the TowerCo of TDF, one of France’s leading telecom infrastructure firms, where he led business growth and transformation. Earlier in his career, he was Strategy, Development and M&A Director at TDF and a Principal at global consultancy Arthur D. Little, advising on digital infrastructure, technology, and growth strategy.

Dominic Ward, CEO of Verne, said: “France represents an exciting opportunity for Verne as we explore how our low-carbon, high-density model can support Europe’s growing demand for AI and HPC infrastructure. With Roland’s deep market understanding and experience in digital infrastructure, he is ideally placed to help us assess how Verne can bring value to the French market.”

Roland Chedlivili, Managing Director, France, added: “I’m delighted to join Verne at this formative stage as the company explores opportunities in France. The country’s strong digital ambitions and commitment to sustainability make it an ideal environment to consider how Verne’s model could contribute to responsible AI and data growth.”

Chedlivili’s appointment builds on Verne’s recent senior hires, reinforcing the company’s commitment to thoughtful, scalable growth across Europe.
