Global data centre operator Etix Everywhere has officially launched ETIX BKK#2, a £220 million facility in Bangkok, boosting its total capacity in Thailand to 28 megawatts (MW).
The company’s first site, ETIX BKK#1, offers 5MW of capacity, of which 3MW is already in use. The new ETIX BKK#2 adds 23MW, representing a sixfold increase in just three years.
“The development of ETIX BKK#1 allowed us to multiply our capacity by six times in just three years. We now have 2MW available at ETIX BKK#1. The launch of ETIX BKK#2 with an additional 23MW is coming at the right time,” said Pierre Patris, CEO for Asia at Etix Everywhere.
Built adjacent to ETIX BKK#1, the new 16,000-square-metre facility is designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing data centre, enabling customers to benefit from the same telecom ecosystem and expand as though operating in a single site.
Alongside the launch, the company released a white paper, “Data Center Trends in Thailand 2025”, created in collaboration with analysts from Schneider Electric, CommScope, DC Byte, and Cushman & Wakefield.
The report highlights that Thailand’s data centre sector is entering a new era, driven by record-breaking capacity growth, increasing hyperscaler investment, and accelerating adoption of AI-ready infrastructure. With 53 operational data centres, Thailand has now overtaken Indonesia in live capacity, boasting over 150MW live and more than 500MW under development.
