EDGNEX Data Centers by DAMAC has revealed plans for one of Southeast Asia’s largest AI-focused data center developments in Jakarta, Indonesia with an expected capacity of 144MW and a committed investment of US$2.3 billion, according to Business Today.

The land was acquired in March 2025, and early construction is now underway. The first phase of the facility is slated to go live by December 2026. Purpose-built to support high-density AI racks, the Jakarta center will play a critical role in enabling Indonesia’s transition to a digital economy by offering scalable and energy-efficient infrastructure.

Targeting a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.32 to meet global sustainability benchmarks, the centre marks EDGNEX’s second project in Indonesia.

Its first 19.2MW data centre, also located in Jakarta, is set for completion in Q3 2026.

The initiative forms part of EDGNEX’s broader strategy to deliver over 300MW of operational capacity across Southeast Asia by 2026, with active expansion plans in Thailand, Malaysia, and other regional markets.
