Chennai AI Infrastructure

Larsen & Toubro‘s AI cloud and hyperscale data centre business, Vyoma.AI, has broken ground on a 52MW AI-ready facility in Chennai, expanding its infrastructure ambitions as demand for high-density computing accelerates across India. The company marked the development with a groundbreaking ceremony on 28 October, positioning the project within its broader strategy to build large-scale infrastructure for artificial intelligence and cloud services. In particular, the facility will accommodate demanding computing environments through advanced liquid cooling, renewable energy integration and infrastructure designed for hyperscale operations. The development also strengthens L&T’s plans to establish Chennai as a major location for AI computing capacity.
