NetActuate has upgraded its Mumbai cloud platform with deeper integration of its Open Network Edge, or ONE, infrastructure, expanding cloud capacity and architectural flexibility in one of India’s most strategic digital markets. The enhancement strengthens the company’s ability to deliver public, private, virtual private, and hybrid cloud services from Mumbai while supporting growing enterprise and service provider demand.
The upgrade has been implemented at NetActuate’s Mumbai Data Center and is designed to meet rising enterprise demand for flexible and resilient infrastructure. As Mumbai’s technology ecosystem grows, predictable performance and regional connectivity are being prioritized by both domestic and international customers.
Expanded Capacity in a Key Connectivity Hub
NetActuate has operated in India for more than a decade and also maintains a data center presence in Chennai. Together, the two locations support improved route diversity and broader regional reach. Consequently, customers can strengthen redundancy while delivering applications across India and to global markets.
The Mumbai enhancement was delivered through NetActuate’s Open Network Edge Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform. Built on open-source software and standards, the ONE platform is managed through a centralized customer portal. Through this framework, cloud environments can be architected quickly, and infrastructure can be extended across locations with consistency.
Out-of-the-box operating systems, monitoring tools, and orchestration capabilities are included. As a result, deployment timelines are shortened and operational complexity is reduced.
Mark Mahle, CEO of NetActuate, said the company has experienced steady growth in India over the past decade. He noted that by integrating ONE capabilities in Mumbai and supporting customers through Chennai, enterprises are being offered greater flexibility in choosing public, private, or hybrid cloud models. At the same time, control over performance, cost, and data residency is maintained.
Rising Demand for Performance and Compliance
Mumbai continues to expand as a digital gateway. Growth in internet adoption and startup activity has increased demand for infrastructure that supports low-latency and business-critical workloads. In addition, high-capacity subsea cable landings reinforce the city’s role in global connectivity. Further international routes have been announced, and additional capacity is expected to be added.
As regulatory frameworks evolve, stricter requirements around data handling and compliance are being enforced. Therefore, private cloud and hybrid configurations are being adopted more widely. Through its Mumbai deployment, NetActuate enables organizations to maintain tighter control over data placement and governance. Security services and global network integration are also included.
Supporting AI and Data-Intensive Workloads
The NetActuate Mumbai cloud platform upgrade also positions the company to support data-intensive and AI-enabled applications. Organizations increasingly require scalable compute infrastructure located close to users and interconnection points. With ONE capabilities now active in Mumbai, scalable architectures can be deployed while hybrid flexibility is preserved.
As digital transformation accelerates across India, infrastructure decisions are being shaped by performance, compliance, and scalability requirements. Through this upgrade, NetActuate has expanded its ability to deliver cloud environments that align with those evolving demands.
