According to Bloomberg, OpenAI is expected to play a key role in building the Abu Dhabi-based data center, potentially becoming its primary tenant. The facility is projected to span 10 square miles and draw power comparable to five nuclear reactors, making it significantly larger than any other AI infrastructure announced to date.
Drawing comparison, TechCrunch notes that while OpenAI’s first Stargate campus in Abilene, Texas, is designed for 1.2 gigawatts of capacity, the planned UAE facility is poised to exceed that by over four times.
