Nxera opened its largest and most advanced data center to date, DC Tuas. The 58-megawatt, AI-optimized facility has been built to meet rising demand for artificial intelligence, cloud, and high-performance computing workloads. As a result, Nxeraโs total operational capacity in Singapore now reaches 120 megawatts.
Nxera operates as the regional data center arm of Singtel Group. Notably, more than 90% of DC Tuasโ capacity was committed before the official launch. Demand from hyperscalers and enterprises continues to accelerate, while land and power constraints in Singapore remain tight. Therefore, the new facility arrives at a critical moment for the market.
High-Density Infrastructure for AI Workloads
DC Tuas supports the higher rack densities required for next-generation AI systems. The facility operates as a carrier-neutral, multi-tenanted data center. In addition, it features Singaporeโs largest direct-to-chip liquid cooling deployment.
This cooling approach enables efficient heat extraction from advanced processors. Consequently, energy and water consumption are reduced compared with conventional cooling systems. Greater operational stability is also achieved under sustained AI workloads.
Bill Chang, CEO of Nxera and Singtelโs Digital InfraCo unit, said the launch marks an important milestone for the companyโs AI strategy. He noted that sustainable deployment of compute-intensive workloads has become essential in markets where capacity is constrained. According to Chang, DC Tuas strengthens Singaporeโs position as a global AI hub while demonstrating Nxeraโs digital infrastructure expertise.
Hyperconnected and Integrated Network Access
Beyond compute density, DC Tuas enhances Singtel Digital InfraCoโs end-to-end infrastructure platform across Asia Pacific. The 120,000-square-foot, eight-story facility integrates directly with a cable landing station. As a result, it stands as Singaporeโs only hyperconnected data center with that capability.
Customers gain direct access to international and domestic networks. Lower latency can be delivered, and reliability is strengthened. At the same time, carrier neutrality allows customers to select preferred network providers for mission-critical workloads.
Sustainability at the Core
Sustainability remains central to the Nxera AI data center Singapore strategy. DC Tuas meets the Green Mark Platinum standard awarded by Singapore authorities. High-efficiency electrical systems and smart thermal features have been incorporated throughout the building.
Moreover, the facility leverages solar energy, rainwater harvesting, condensate reuse, and blowdown recovery systems. With a power usage effectiveness ratio of 1.25, DC Tuas ranks among the most energy-efficient multi-tenanted facilities in Singapore and the tropical region. Consequently, high-density AI performance is supported while environmental impact is reduced.
Regional Expansion Continues
With DC Tuas now operational, Nxera is expanding further across Southeast Asia. Additional AI-ready capacity is scheduled to come online in Batam and Johor in the second half of 2026. Operational and pipeline capacity is projected to grow from 200MW in 2026 to more than 400MW in the mid-term.
Through these developments, Nxera continues to scale AI-ready infrastructure across the region. As digital demand intensifies, efficient and resilient data center design is being prioritized from the outset.
